Bio
Niko Iatrides
Lyric Tenor & Recording Artist
Born and raised a Greek American in Chicago, Niko Iatrides is a lyric tenor, vocalist, and songwriter whose sound blends the warmth of pop-soul, the intimacy of acoustic indie, and the emotional depth of classical crossover.
He began performing in Chicago’s community theaters, belting out neo-classical songs by artists such as Andrea Bocelli's "O Mare E Tu" & "Con Te Partiro", in intimate night clubs, and with a cappella choirs, in churches and houses of worship interpreting sacred works such as Mallotte’s “The Lord’s Prayer” and Schubert’s “Ave Maria.” His journey as a performer grew through solo appearances in churches and concert halls, expressing both faith and artistry through the human voice.
Early Career & Greek Roots
Niko’s professional beginnings trace back to Byzantium Nightclub in Chicago’s historic Greektown (2001–2003).
Later, in Athens (Greece), he recorded his first EP Feugo Makria (2004) — writing the title track’s music and lyrics himself, with additional compositions by lyricist Niki Spiropoulou and composer Yiannis Dimitras, produced by Harisis Hrisostomos.
International Recordings & Crossover Works
Returning to the U.S., Niko released the English EP A Box Full of Band Aids (2010) — written, composed, and produced with Joseph Connors — showcasing his versatility in pop-soul and acoustic storytelling.
Both EPs (Feugo Makria and A Box Full of Band Aids) are available now on Apple Music and Spotify.
